!!!In the Graphics program at WSTI, it is required to undergo a qualifying interview, for which a prior appointment must be scheduled.!!!

How to book a date for the interview?

Reservation of an interview appointment date can only be done online and is necessary to proceed with the interview. It can be made after prior registration for a degree in Graphic Design made by the recruitment form.

!!!The qualifying interview will take place online via Google Meet.!!! !!!The interview link along with instructions will be sent to the candidate at least one day prior to the chosen date for the qualifying interview.!!!

All about portfolio

Interview – taking part in the interview aimed at testing the ability and artistic skills of the candidate The interview includes:

1. verification of interests and the artistic preparation of the candidate,

2. assessment of a candidate’s portfolio consisting of 5 to 15 own works of art and/or design works in the field of:
– drawing (including sketches),
– painting,
– sculpture (photographs),
– photography,
– multimedia works,
– design work.

The portfolio does not have to include works from all of the aforementioned categories and can be submitted in electronic form (PDF file, jpg or html). The subject matter and size (dimensions) of the presented works can be arbitrary.

!!!Candidates are requested to send their portfolio to the email address: portfolio@edu.wsti.pl at least two days before the chosen date for the qualifying interview or to make it available on the aforementioned platform.!!! !!!email address or link directing to the portfolio!!! !!!The total size of the submitted files should not exceed 20 MB.!!!

What is the subject of the interview?

The interview is designed to test the ability and artistic skills of the candidate and to assess the portfolio. The interests and motivation of the candidate are verified. Examples of issues discussed during the interview are:

achievements and design/artistic experience of the candidate (related nature of artistic or professional nature of the work, hobbies, artistic education, etc.)

formal preparation of the candidate for artistic studies (completed schools, courses, training, participation in art classes, project groups, etc., practical knowledge of graphic design software, etc.)

general knowledge of design trends, styles of art, etc.,

sources of inspiration of the candidate (the ability to display your favorite artists and/or works, magazines, books or websites about art, photography, drawing, painting, design – depending on the candidate’s interests)

cultural activity (participation in artistic events, visiting galleries, museums, theaters, etc.)

overall motivation to apply for studies of an artistic nature.

These issues do not constitute an exhaustive list.

Comprehensive preparation is not required of the candidate. However, he should have at least a basic knowledge of art and design, aesthetic sense, at least intermediate technical skills and motivation for intensive training.

The maximum number of points gained for assessing the suitability and skills of the candidate during the interview is 6 points The minimum required number of points necessary for positive verification of the candidate during the interview for assessing the suitability and skills is 2 points.

Positive verification of the candidate allowing him to qualify for the third stage of recruitment for artistic studies at the Graphic Design major requires a minimum total of 4 points scored during the interview, the two points earned for portfolio and for assessing the suitability and skills of the candidate.

The interview lasts approx. 10 minutes.

The interview result is presented to the Candidate immediately after its completion.

Foreigners are required to provide

A photocopy of a visa, residence card or other document entitling to stay in the territory of the Republic of Poland and the original for inspection

A photocopy of the Pole’s Card and the original for inspection (if applicable).

A photocopy of the Maturity Certificate or a document equivalent to the Polish Maturity Certificate, translated by a sworn translator entered on the list of sworn translators of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Poland and bearing an apostille clause, and the original for inspection.

Certificate confirming the knowledge of the Polish language at the language proficiency level of at least B2, issued by: the State Commission for the Certification of Proficiency in Polish as a Foreign Language, authorized by the Minister responsible for higher education and science to organize examinations in Polish as a foreign language at a certain language proficiency level (a Polish or foreign university conducting studies in Polish philology, a Polish or foreign entity that has been conducting foreign language courses or classes in teaching Polish or Polish as a foreign language or other didactic classes in Polish for at least three years).

A photocopy of the insurance policy in case of illness or accident, covering the period of education in Poland, and the original available for inspection.

All documents issued in a foreign language will be accepted together with a translation into Polish prepared by a sworn translator entered on the list of sworn translators of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Poland.

The candidate is obliged to personally deliver the set of documents
